How long should The Konjac Sponge last?Updated 7 months ago

The Konjac Sponge is crafted from the root of the Konjac plant, with absolutely no plastic involved! It typically lasts between 6-12 weeks before needing to be replaced. When it’s time for a new one, simply place the sponge in your home compost bin.

However, like any great performer, it needs the right conditions to deliver its best performance. If you notice that your Konjac Sponge is deteriorating sooner than expected, here are a few common reasons why this might be happening:

  • Overuse or vigorous scrubbing, which can wear the sponge down.
  • Improper drying—be sure to allow the sponge to air dry completely after each use. Hanging it with the rope can help speed this along.
  • Storage in a damp or humid environment, which may cause the sponge to break down prematurely.
