Why does The Deodorant Balm feel grainy?Updated 5 months ago

We have observed that The Deodorant Balm may sometimes develop a grainy texture. This occurs due to a process known as "winterisation," which happens when the balm’s temperature drops too quickly.

What is Winterisation?

Winterisation is a process where certain oils and butters, such as Shea Butter, solidify and form grains when they cool rapidly. This crystallization results in a grainy texture. It’s important to note that this does not affect the effectiveness or quality of the product. The grains will typically dissolve when the balm is warmed between your fingers or massaged into the skin.

Our Commitment

We’re excited to share that a new, refined formula will be joining us in early 2025, designed to eliminate this texture issue entirely. We’re introducing additional steps and adjustments to prevent winterisation, so you’ll experience an even smoother application going forward.
